J Cole - Cole World: The Sideline Story | September 27th

J. Cole will finally release his long-awaited debut album, ‘Cole World: The Sideline Story’ on Sept. 27, the rapper announced on Twitter on Tuesday.

In two simple tweets, the North Carolina native dropped the name of his new record, as well as the upcoming release date. The debut was set to be unveiled last year, but was subsequently pushed back.
Cole was the first artist to be signed to Jay-Z‘s Roc Nation label, and it is rumored that the rap mogul will appear on the 26-year-old’s forthcoming album.

However, Cole says no other emcees will contribute rhymes on the release. “I only got so much rap real estate and I want to keep it to myself,” he said in an interview with SBTV.

“There’s a lot of things people are going through that I feel like other rappers might not discuss,” Cole added about his music. “Those are the things I want to talk about — things that other rappers might smack themselves and be like, ‘Why didn’t I make a song about that?’ That’s the type of music it is.”

The hip-hop star has released several mixtapes since arriving on the scene, including 2007′s ‘The Come Up, 2009′s ‘The Warm Up’ and his most recent compilation, ‘Friday Night Lights.’ ‘Work Out’ and ‘Cheer Up,’ two new songs from ‘Cole World’ were released on Monday.
